(Volatile Organic Compounds)
We were asked to design an antiquarian bookshop that caters for a niche market.
- Entrance is near the lower right hand rectangle. First thing you see is the room for private consultation (slanted square room), then on its right is a small reception.
- On the left side are lounge sofas for reading.
- Further left is 3 computer stations for searching library catalogue.
- Upper left hand corner is the conference table
- Along the walls are the bookshelves
- Lastly, the toilet with disabled access
Private consultation room

Seating area
Computer stations
(And yes those are Apple Mighty Mouse hanging from the ceiling)
Just because they are awesome
Bookshelves (closed)
Designed like how iTouch and iPhone works. Touchscreen browsing through books.
Bookshelves (opened)
Toilet with disabled access
Comments and responses:
1. Sofas are bulky: yes they are, bad choice of sofas
2. Why 3 computers?: Mmm didn't really think about it, but now that I have I think 1-2 would have done just fine.
3. Reception stuck in a corner: I guess slanting the consultation room kinda took away space for the reception : \ damn.
4. Conference table not enough lighting: need to add more lighting. Got it.
